Love for Enemies
6. But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who ill-treat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even “sinners” love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, hat credit is that t you? Even ‘sinner’ do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinner’ lend to ‘sinners’, expection to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expection to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (Luke6 : 27-36)

But when you are invited, take the lowest plac , so that when your host comes, he will say to you. ‘Friend, move up to a better place, Then you will be honoured in the presence of all your fellow guests. “ For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalied.” Then Jesus said to his host. “ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbours ; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. 10. We know that we all possess knowledge.”Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. (1 Cor8 : 1-2)

Love never fails, But where there are prophecies, they will cease, where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. (1 Timothy 3 :1-5)

22. “Love your neighbour as yourself.” As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2 :8,26)

23. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
